The NGO International Humanitarian Aid (IHA) “Mother of God” – Cyprus has been active for many years in providing humanitarian aid to low-income countries. Specifically, it focuses on organizing and supporting medical and nursing centers and missions in African countries to relieve some of the poorest patients on our planet.

In these healthcare structures, predominantly very poor patients suffering from multiple serious illnesses, both prevalent tropical infectious diseases and other common non-communicable diseases, are served. Due to the lack of easy access to healthcare services, these people have to travel great distances to receive medical care. Among them are many children.
