Containers

For the organization and smooth operation of a Health Center in Africa, necessary items are collected through donations and purchases for the construction of buildings, furnishing, and medical equipment. Specifically, a shipping container includes:

  • Construction materials, tools, plumbing, and other necessary items for building infrastructure.
  • Furniture (desks, office chairs, cabinets, bookshelves, workbenches, examination tables, etc.).
  • Medical machines and equipment.
  • Consumables (cotton, gauze, bandages, antiseptics, soaps, cleaning supplies, etc.).
  • Medicines.
  • Dental tools and consumables.
  • Equipment and consumables for a microbiology laboratory.
  • Radiology laboratory items.

Humanitarian aid such as clothing, shoes, stationery, food, household utensils, church items, etc., is also sent. In the past, containers were sent to the Holy Diocese of Bukoba, Tanzania. In 2011, 2015, and 2021, three containers were sent to the clinic in Tulear, Madagascar. In 2019, with the assistance of the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, a container with humanitarian aid and the necessary materials for organizing a Health Center was sent to Bujumbura, Burundi.
