The Association took the initiative to organize two scientific conferences on Tropical Medicine and Humanitarian Medical Missions with the goals of: a) informing and raising awareness among the broader public about the necessity of humanitarian missions and their organization, and b) educating Health Workers (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, etc.) on topics related to Tropical Medicine. Specifically, the following were held:

• Principles of Medicine and Organization of Medical Missions in Tropical Countries in 2011 and
• 2nd Interdisciplinary Conference on Humanitarian Medical Missions in 2014.

Additionally, under the auspices of the Medical School of the University of Nicosia, the following seminars were organized:

• Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) of the World Health Organization using the eLearning tool ICATT (IMCI Computerized Adaptation and Training Tool) in 2017 and
• TRAVEL MEDICINE Seminar (Body of Knowledge for the Practice of TRAVEL MEDICINE of the International Society of Travel Medicine) in 2018.
